For The Wicked was largely recorded in a one-room, stove-heated cabin in rural Vermont. The confines give the music a warmth and richness that is balanced by Robin MacArthur`s Aimee Mann/Margo Timmins-like vocals and husband Tyler Gibbons`s mellow Beck-like sounds.
