Bill Kelly delivers his tales of messed-up love and redemption with whimsy. He sets the tone for the record with the gorgeous opening track "Daddy Wouldn`t Know." Over the record Kelly, who at times is reminiscent of Jackson Browne, Tim Easton, and Loudon Wainwright III, charms the listener with gentle melodies and thoughtful imagery. Bread On The Waters, impeccably produced by Lincoln Schleifer, shows Kelly as a sublimely compelling musician. -- Jeff Weiss, Miles of Music (MrAmericana Records)
