Lubbock-based Thrift Store Cowboys capture the shimmering, country-influenced soundtrack sound of the Southwest. Produced by Craig Schumacher at Wavelab Studios in Tucson,TSC`s 2006 release is a beautifully intoxicating mix. A gypsy-like violin, haunting pedal steel and the occasional toy piano provide texture for this dark, thoughtful and very talented band.
