The full-length debut from the St. Louis sextet Rough Shop plays not unlike the collage that graces its cover...with different faces, different colors, different moments - both still and in motion - all captured in time, yet all part of the same work. Given the varying musical styles from the two main songwriters and the three and four different voices that interpret them, it`s no wonder this record has so many facets. The core band is comprised of the songwriters and rhythm section of One Fell Swoop, a band whose acoustic-based Americana made its mark at the turn of the millennium. Added now are vocalist and guitarist Anne Tkach (Hazeldine, Nadine, Magnolia Summer) and keyboardist Nate Dahm, whose swirling Hammond tones and slick piano work recall both Garth Hudson and Nicky Hopkins.
