Riviera`s 2006 release Capital expands their sonic pallet beyond their alt.country/Americana past by taking a page out of the controlled lysergic moments of Crazy Horse. Songwriters Derek Phillips, Josh Boisvert, and Mick Radichel use this musical tension -- guitars veering towards the edges of feedback before pulling back - as a backdrop for their songs of broken dreams and missed opportunities.
