Danny Amis, aka Daddy-O Grande, is well-established in the world of instrumentals. After 13 years with Los Straitjackets, Amis is enjoying the success of 10 critically acclaimed CDs, TV and film appearances, and nationwide tours with Tom Petty, Link Wray and The Reverend Horton Heat. In 2006, Amis returned to Mexico City for another project with Lost Acapulco, this time including an authentic Mariachi Horn Section and Latin Percussionist. None of the Mariachis hired made it to the studio, but the horn section from a local Ska band clad in clown suits was happy to fill in, with wonderfully surprising results.
