The title suggests that an evening be wasted. The music sounds like it should be wasted in a pub, for sure. Perhaps a stateside equivalent of an Irish pub, as the American folk roots of Josh Lederman Y Los Diablos outbalances the Celtic influences by far. Still, Lederman`s songs have garnered comparisons to The Pogues, while his smart tunes also contain elements of Zydeco, Klezmer, country and rock. Dubbed the "Kings of Irish-Jewish folk-punk," this Boston/New England based band swagger with whiskey-soaked fun and speak of the everyman who might stumble away from the previously mentioned "wasted evening" wondering "where did the woman go...and where do I go now?" There are stories and characters and an all-round feeling of boozy reverie of olde which permeate these songs from an artist that Performing Songwriter Magazine claims "could be Boston`s Billy Bragg."
