Roscoe`s "gang", on his first post-Del Lord solo-outing, included bandmates Lou "Alou" Whitney, Ron "Rongo" Gremp, Joe "Planet" Terry and Donnie "D.C." Thompson. Special guests included Syd Straw, Peter Holsapple, Mr. Thing, Jackboy Smead, Jim Wunderle and Skip Roper on this high spirited, rockin` affair that was, as noted in the liner notes, "recorded absolutely live in the studio. No overdubs, second takes or rehearsal." Originally released in 1988, this reissue is among the first batch of releases - along with his 2nd solo disc, Loud & Lonesome, and Knucklehead, a collection of odds and ends - from Eric`s new label, Lakeside Lounge. Along with deluxe packaging and liner notes from "Roscoe", there is one bonus cut from the session, the blues-rock instrumental "Power Lounger Theme Part 2". (Lakeside Lounge)
