The skill, confidence and talent displayed in Wanderin` by the Austin-based The Belleville Outfit belies their youth. This mix of country. bluegrass, and gypsy swing, and jazz -- the band took their name from a Django Reinhardt song -- all seamlessly flow together. New Orleans, the band`s previous base of operations, provides a strong source of musical inspiration as the city`s musical legacy is apparent. Rob Teter`s warm vocals are complimented by the slight sass of violinist Phoebe Hunt. It is hard to imagine how this band makes a better record than Wanderin`.
