Michael Ubladini`s has taken an `everyman` approach to the songs on 2008 release Street Singin` Troubadour. `I wanted to have lyrics that were not about finger pointing. I don`t care about blue/red divisions," Ubaldini said. The songs are simple in construct, merely an acoustic guitar and Ubaldini`s warm voice. Song after song he captures the "inner thought process" of the narrative. The tales are simple, the narrative linear and the emotions are not overly complicated. These are tales as Ubaldini sees the average person. Some of the tracks feel overly simplistic without context. Taken as a whole with an understanding of Ubaldini`s goal, Street Singin` Troubadour is highly successful. -- Jeff Weiss, Miles of Music (self)
